Change of Command for NCSA - 24 April 2009

SHAPE, 24. April 2009. Lieutenant General Ulrich Wolf (German Army) passed command of the NATO Communication and Information System Services Agency (NCSA) to Lieutenant General Kurt Herrmann (German Air Force) on 24 April 2009, at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Belgium.  The handover took place at the Alliance Auditorium and was officiated by the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR), General Sir John McColl.  Lieutenant General Wolf commanded NCSA since August 2004.

After the change of command ceremony both the new and the outgoing Directors together with their families hosted a reception for distinguished guests in the SHAPE Club.

During this reception DSACEUR Gen Sir John McColl, surprised LTGen Wolf and his wife Edelgard with the bestowal of the NATO Meritorious Service Medal.

Immediately following this the Polish National Military Representative BrigGen Kaczyński, in the name of the Polish Minister of Defence, presented LTGen Wolf the Gold Medal of the Polish Armed Forces.
